When students tell me how they think and what they can imagine, and I can guide them to a new way of thinking, I feel like a good teacher. When students are excited about what they can do, I feel like a good teacher.
Shannon E
ARTS & SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER
Shannon has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Education, and has just recently completed her Master of Education degree. She is a registered teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers and has experience working with a diverse student population. Her passion and commitment to education is rooted in creating an equitable learning environment through delivering a curriculum that is culturally relevant and responsive to every student.
I believe that for a classroom to be successful, learning does not end when the students leave the school. For me and my practice, I believe it is of the upmost importance for students to develop a love of learning while they are in school in order to be lifelong learners. I try to help foster that through engaging students in a learning experience where they see themselves reflected in each lesson.
